Unforgettable views of Mt. Rainier are in the neighborhood of Orting, WA. Only an hour-ish away from the property, you can see various waterfalls and hike, ski, or drive through the National Park. Definitely worth the trip!

Three waterfalls, multiple viewing areas, and two different trailheads provide great choices for an excursion to Little Mashel Falls, which is far from little. Great for a long day hike.

The quaint town of Orting, WA has a population of just under 10,000. It is located about an hour south of Seattle and an hour and a half northwest of Mount Rainier. Within 10 miles there are a plethora of other national parks where you can bike, hike, walk, rollerblade, roller skate, and take a breath of fresh air. Don't forget to take many selfies in front of the waterfalls in Bonney Lake, Eatonville, and Mount Rainier.
The Foothills Trail is 21 miles long and spans several cities including Orting. The main grocery store of Orting is Safeway; Fred Meyer's is nearby in Sumner; and Costco and many other options in Puyallup just 15 min away. There are also malls nearby in Puyallup (15 min); Auburn (20 min); Federal Way (25 min); and Tacoma (30 min).
Orting is very family friendly. If you're looking for a peaceful place to stay away from all the noise and to take a break from work, this is the place for you. National and public parks are highly valued in Washington State which is one reason we have many outdoor enthusiasts. You'll see many kids walking around in neighborhoods swinging and playing basketball at the local parks.
