Food Scene
This is an old and for some revered establishment, just behind the Palais Royal, so a great location, easy to find, few minutes walk from the flat. Plenty of grand Parisians go but the waiters speak many tongues and welcome guests from all over the world.
The menu is traditional and very good on shell-fish, oysters, crabs and moules. Steaks are good and excellently cooked with very old fashioned, but steady, dependable and very good quality ingredients. If you are looking for a fantastic treat of old Paris, 19thC Marcel Proust with Cousin Pons dinning quietly in a corner, then you will find him here.

However, it's the southern end of the complex, polka-dotted with sculptor Daniel Buren's 260 black-and-white striped columns, that has become the garden's signature feature.
