Ashland is my home but it's a great place to visit. There are lots of shops and restaurants to try. There's also a brewery and a wood fired pizza place. Ashland University makes its home here as well. Ashland's Balloon Festival is held in July.

Be watchful of Amish Buggies
We have a large Amish population in Ashland, Homes and Wayne Counties. In fact, it's the largest in the world. While charming to be sure, these folks use our roadways by horse and buggy. Please be very careful when driving in the area. There may be a horse-drawn buggy over the crest of the next hill!

Canoeing
There are several canoe liveries in the area. This is a fantastic way to see the sights, relax and have fun. I highly recommend renting a raft or canoe for the day and taking a trip down the river.
