Although I'm vegetarian, I've heard enough about the Purple Daisy to know it's the place to go for barbecue. Plus, the owners could not be nicer.

Mr. T's has decent (and very affordable) pizza, but the selling points are the delivery service and the ice cream. Look for the giant triple cone as you enter St. Elmo.

Really great vegan place on the North Shore. Bar downstairs that sometimes serves as a venue for shows. Sunday brunch has its own menu. Gluten-free menu always available.

One of the longest pedestrian (and bicycle) bridges in the U.S. Beautiful, beautiful views of the city. The bridge connects attraction-heavy area of downtown to the Northshore shops/restaurants.
