We are called the Athens of the south in part because of our replica of the Parthenon at this park. During the fall we have free outdoor concerts (Musician's Corner). There are arts festivals here.

When I travel and someone doesn't speak my language, or doesn't know where Tennessee is I say Jack Daniels is made in Tennessee. I always get a smile they respond "Jack Daniels" in plain english.

I just had some amazing catfish, corn pudding, fruit tea and turnip greens. Their German town location features a family style approach. This is a buffet style. Quick and yummy!

This is my favorite burrito in Nashville. So affordable and very good! Expect it to be busy at lunch time, but they move people through efficiently.

This is a Nashville staple. If you arrive before 8:30 you won't have a wait. On the weekends prepare for a long wait to get in. Fido's is down the street if you don't want to wait.

One of my favorite breakfast stops. Great coffee and ambiance. WIFI enabled. Nestled between Vandy and Belmont Universities. Lots of college energy here.
