Take the Earnslaw Steam ship across the other side of the lake to Walter Peak Farm where you can watch the dogs herding sheep and see sheep being sheared.

Parks & Nature
One of our favourite walks in Arrowtown is Sawpit Gully which starts near the Chinese Settlement. It takes about 2 hours and is quite steep in parts so not for the faint hearted but you're rewarded with amazing views of the area.

Buckingham StreetOne of our favourite walks in Arrowtown is Sawpit Gully which starts near the Chinese Settlement. It takes about 2 hours and is quite steep in parts so not for the faint hearted but you're rewarded with amazing views of the area.
Beautiful Lake Hayes is about a 15 minute walk from our home. It takes about 2 hours to do the loop around it.

A lovely loop walk right in the heart of the forest. You can visit Sam Summers hut who was a prospector in the early 20th Century. A bit hilly in places but great views over Lake Dispute and Lake Wakatipu.
