Carbis bay beach is a 15 minute stroll down the hill through woodland from the cottages. It's beautiful bay with soft golden sand, and calm clear waters makes it perfect water to swim in. The beach has been awarded blue flag status for water quality, facilities and safety. The Carbis Bay Hotel at the back of the beach has facilities. Ocean sports offer- windbreaks, deckchairs, kayaks, wetsuits and SUP hire. Please not parking is very limited there and costs a lot.

The gateway to St Ives. This is where the train from Carbis Bay arrives. It's a short 5 minute journey along the coast with beautiful views. Porthminster has been named one of the top best beaches in Europe, and its clear to see why. Blue flag status, palm trees, golden sand, clear waters, a beach restaurant, cafe, mini golf and a stones throw from St Ives town. It takes 30 minutes to walk to Porthminster Beach from the cottage.

15 minutes Gwithian beach is great for surfing and has lots of fun sand dunes. A good place to park is Sandy Acres that has a small car park with a little cafe.
