I have never been here but I know a lot of people who have. Sometimes they see many, many manatees, and sometimes they do not. Safe and easy kayaking.

This is both a beach and a town. Cross the bridge (no toll) before 9am and leave the island before 3pm to avoid the heaviest traffic during high season (Thanksgiving through Memorial Day). Park near the Lani Kai hotel (probably $20 for the day) and head straight out to the beach. Claim your chairs by placing a towel on them. There is a daily rate for chairs and umbrellas and the attendant will come by later to collect their fee. Your fee includes chair-side service from the bar and restaurant. Head to the restaurant at the top of the Lani Kai for breathtaking views and have breakfast and half price mimosas and bloody marys. Then head back to the beach to spend the day people and boat watching. Here you can rent jetskis, tubes and more, or parasail.
