Rosie's is our favorite breakfast spot. Excellent dishes and a plethora of hommade baked goods. Their cookies and cinnamon rolls are top notch!
Rosie's has a location in Carmel (just north) and one on Zionsville (northwest).

Another GREAT breakfast spot. Patachou ranks number 1 for a lot of locals. They have a lot of locations to choose from too!

Sun King is one of Indy's most popular breweries. The Carmel location has a cool vibe. Inside the restaurant you have access to all their beers as well as 5 different food menus. It's almost like a food court setup where one person can get a burger and another can get tacos.

This is just down the road and has the best authentic Mexican tacos and some delicious ice cream to boot. Ask for cheese between the shells. You won't be disappointed.

Sightseeing
Eagle Creek is one of the best places to get outside around Indy. The park is surprisingly large given it's location. It has miles of well mainained trails to explore.
This is a state park so expect to pay a small fee to get in.

The Monon Trail is a walking/biking trail built over a decommissioned railway. It's a beautiful trail and has many restaurants located close to or even directly on the trail.

If you're into CrossFit or just want to get a good workout in this is hands down the best option. Very friendly atmosphere inclusive to all skill levels and excellent coaching. You'll also find a free drop in pass in the snack basket!

Plan on driving
Indianapolis does have a few bus lines that operate downtown and up into Broad Ripple, but I would plan on driving or using Uber to get around.
