A small, historic, fun, and kid-friendly town just outside of Durango. Also a fun train with sightseeing used to either come and/or go.
Nestled in the southwest corner of Colorado, downtown Durango is a National Registered Historic District and Main Avenue looks much like it did 100 years ago. Historic highlights, restaurants, galleries, boutiques and museums dot the walkable downtown area located along the beautiful Animas River. The perfect climate, laid-back and friendly Durango culture and the people themselves will make anyone feel welcome and want to stay.
There’s no doubt why so many people live and visit Durango each year. World-class, year-round recreation, rich history, incredible mountain scenery and an authentic mountain town experience, plus abundant modern day luxuries only scratch the surface of what this area has to offer.
