You can save a few dollars by stopping in town before you get to the house. There is a market in Sea Isle, about 1 mile away for convenience, and there is a another market further down the road in Jamaica Beach. There is a pretty well stocked Dollar General near Pirates Beach as well. There is a liquor store in Pirates Beach as well as a seafood store with fresh seafood and Mario's Pizza which will deliver.

If you are interested in golf cart rentals, you may want to book before you get here to assure availability. PLEASE STAY ON THE STREETS AND THE BEACH... PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THE NEIGHBORS' LAWNS

Each bathroom will come with 3 rolls of toilet paper, one the roll and two extras. Please bring any additional toilet paper with you when you come. The house will be set up with 1 roll of paper towels Please bring paper plates, napkins, and disposable utensils if you plan to use them. There is a charcoal BBQ. If you plan to BBQ, you will want to bring charcoal and lighter fluid. Mosquitos are Galveston's city bird... bring mosquito spray if they bother you.

DONT GET STUCK IN THE SAND!!! Avoid soft sand. Driving on the beach is very convenient and makes getting to the beach easier with little ones, HOWEVER, be cautious on the sand if your car does not have 4 wheel drive. Cars have been known to get stuck in the sand... if this happens, you may need someone to tow you out. You can also try to partially deflate your tires to increase the surface area of the tire touching the sand. Sometimes this works. Stepping on the gas will not dig you out of hole, it will just dig a bigger hole in the sand.
