Tapas

One of the best tapas place in the city! Quality market fresh food at a good price in a fancy place. About 5-10 minutes walking from the apartment. Vinitus doesn't take reservations, and is usually very crowded, so the best time to go is 1-2pm and 6-8pm (right before Spanish meal times). Once there they will write your name on a list and they will call your name once your table is ready (first-come first-served basis). While waiting for your table you can enjoy a glass of wine or a beer. Common waiting time is 20 min aprox. Enjoy! Price range: 20-40€ / person Dishes we recommend: - Iberian cured ham (they will bring you "Bellota" type, the top quality ham) - Beef tenderloin with Foie - "Cabreaos" style eggs - Chiquen and cured ham croquettes - Burnt Saint Teresa Torrija (dessert) - Chocolate with churros (dessert) - Bread, chocolate, oil and salt (dessert)

Emblematic restaurant of Barcelona. Very recommendable, it is from the same style and owner of Vinitus. It is fun to eat in the bar, where you can get to see and choose the products directly. Very good quality food and very good price!

Paella & Seafood

One of the best paellas in Barcelona with in front of the mediterranean sea. The paellas are very thin and are eaten with wood cuttlery in the same pan in which they are served; just delicious. They bring you a sand clock as well to tell you how much time is there left for your paella. We recommend booking a table well in advance to avoid queueing, otherwise you can go there directly and wait for a table (not recommendable as it is usually very crowded), you might get a table if you go before 1pm and after 3pm, avoiding spanish meal time. Price range: 30-50€ Dishes we recommend: - Escribà special fish paella (must) - Our “pica-pica” (different dishes selection selection) - Galician style octopus - Andalusian-style baby squid - Garlic cockles

Local cuisine

This place is incredible, the decoration is stunning and the food is also very good. Located at the heart of Passeig de Gràcia, it reflects Barcelona’s social and cultural life. It is the first restaurant in Barcelona with different areas where you can try traditional recipes from around the Iberian Peninsula, prepared with high quality produce in unique surroundings. Besides it functions as a cocktail bar as well, suitable to have drinks in the evening. It counts with four different cocktail bars and four different mini-restaurants: the grill, the fish market, the tapas place and the market stand. A must-see!

Spectacular restaurant, the most emblematic restaurant of the Tragaluz Group, which has 11 restaurants throughout Spain and 7 in Barcelona. The spectacular design of the space, divided into two levels, has a fantastic glass ceiling, what in Spanish is called a "Tragaluz" ("Light sink"). The menu presents excellent avant-garde Mediterranean cuisine.

A stratospheric cuisine that combines ingenuity, Mediterranean and Japanese flavors, which has earned the first Michelin star of a Japanese restaurant in Barcelona. It is a ceremony in which the cut of the fish, the amount of rice and the texture are controlled exactly. All this makes this place an absolutely unavoidable place for any lover of Japanese cuisine.

It could also be called Boa-Soup or Boa-Curri. On the sumptuous site of the former Sala Gaspar art gallery, this pan-Asian restaurant has done a serious job of compiling recipes from all over Southeast Asia. Skepticism grabs you when you unfold an eleven-page passport letter and lets you go when you try a model and abundant 'pad thai' or a Malaysian curry with firecracker prawns (the portions are great plates). And in fact, the strong point here is that they neither cover nor interpret: they stay true to traditional recipes, and Asian cooks often pass through here for the better and
