Activities

When it comes to walking and cycling Hollins Farmhouse is ideally situated for both, whether you fancy a gentle stroll along the River Ure into Middleham for a pub lunch or something more strenuous the local geography can provide more than enough. For road cyclists the Tour de France (Yorkshire) route came right through Middleham on its way to the finish in Harrogate, perhaps you might like to cycle some of the route or try the whole Tour de France 2014 Grand Depart Leeds to Harrogate route! Equally for mountain bikers there are numerous rides available in the local vicinity but for some advice on where to go based on your ability or just to hire a bike head to Dales Bike Centre in Fremington. This is a mecca for mountain bikers and has been the host for many international competitions over the past few years in particularly. www.dalesbikecentre.co.uk
