The South entrance is about 20 minutes from the house. It takes about 35-50 minutes to get to the floor of the valley from any entrance. Tunnel view is where you can take spectacular photos and only accessed on this route in. Stop for photos with Half Dome and El Cap in background and the astounding valley view.

Enjoy the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad and learn the area’s amazing history with a 1-hour tour. My favorite is the Jazz Train ride that is done in the summer.

This postcard-pretty little town is located just two miles from Yosemite's South Gate. The General Store is a historical and well-provisioned outpost for groceries, beer, wine, souvenirs, and good conversation.

A beautiful drive off road 222. Take Beasore Road all the way to the top to Beasore Meadows and have lunch at Jones Store. The BEST hamburgers and pie around. You won't forget your visit here.
