Follow the coast road from Kingsbridge to Dartmouth for a lovely drive with stunning views. Stop off at Blackpool Sands for a coffee or lunch at the beach cafe.

A beautiful sandy beach which is best accessed by foot ferry from Salcombe. There is a car park near the beach but it is quite a long drive down narrow lanes.

Fabulous fish and chips to eat in the beachfront pub or takeaway to eat on Slapton beach. This beach is famous for its major part in D Day. There is even a tank which was recovered from the sea and is now a memorial.

A quirky restaurant serving fabulous food. At low tide you can drive (or walk) along the Aveton Gifford estuary but this road is covered at high tide so you may have to take the slightly longer route.

Situated next to the local farm shop and butchers, Aune Valley, this cafe serves great food. You can walk from Monty’s (approx 30 mins). The breakfasts and lunches are superb!

A garden centre with craft shops and a cafe. We like to walk here from Monty’s through woods and along the beautiful Avon river. Indulge in a spot of lunch or coffee and cake before hiking up the steep hill back to Loddiswell.

Walk from Totnes along a footpath which follows the river Dart (approx 30mins) or it’s a short drive. A mix of individual shops selling a variety of items including, of course, Dartington Glass!
A few minutes drive away is the medieval Dartington Hall and estate.
