Popular seaside attraction with it's long sandy beach, many cafes, children's softplay (Adventure Island) and fun fair. At the the end of the costal path is the climbing wall, beach huts (have added the link if you want to see rental rates) and promenade.
In the summer lots of fitness and yoga classes run on the promenade.
This beach is lifguarded.

Barry Island

The promenade is completely flat and stretches along the length of the Knap pebble beach (not lifguarded). Next to the promenade are the lake gardens which has a couple of cafes (both cafes do great breakfasts and sandwiches, coffee and cakes).
The skate park is here also.
Parking is free at the moment and there is a toilet block in the car park.
