Reminds me of a restaurant in Chicago with the tile and wood decor. Very sleek and chic. Try either oyster app, tomato salad, and honestly you can't go wrong with any entree.

Trendy, cool vibe. Delicious generous cocktails. Thursdays are 2 for 1 tostadas cash pay. They are so good. Do not miss the Tinga de pollo or camaron chipotle tostada. Fish and chips were also very good. I think they have live music on most evenings. Service was attentive, prices are fair, and you enjoy a cool funky intimate dining scene. Can't wait to go back.

Sightseeing
If you are a history buff this is a must see. And you must use Albert Coffee. He is one of the archeologists involved in the excavation of this pyramid. You can visit his websitehttps://albertcoffeetours.com/. I booked him through Viator but not sure if he is still available on their site or not. You will see he does many trips to the many ruins in and around the area.

The star of the show! Grand, Neo gothic 17th century church in the center of town. About 15-20 minute walk from the house. Then you can just get lost around the city and discover hidden treasures! Also great view from our terrace of this magnificent church.

Wineries
One of the newest wineries on wine road. The grounds are amazing. They offer tours of the winery, wine tastings, and a full service restaurant. Try the charcuterie board for starters or just to enjoy with your wine. Food is so delicious and the wine is some of the best I have tasted. You need a driver or taxi to get there, but only about 25 minutes from the house. They have website and you can book a reservation online.

One of the oldest wineries on the wine road. Delicious wines and beautiful grounds. You can book vineyard tours, wine tastings, and food/wine pairing. We did 5 Course pairing and tour of grounds on Thanksgiving 2021. They set up the table decorated for Thanksgiving and used our holiday as the inspiration for the food pairings. So thoughtful and friendly. Chef will come out and explain all the pairings. Just a lovely, laid back atmosphere. Everything can be reserved on their website. It is also kid friendly as another table had their 5 children with them.

Fireworks
San Miguel loves fireworks! They can happen day or night usually revolving around a holiday or religious event. Weddings and birthdays as well. Do not be alarmed. It happens all over the city. The locals are also very respectful of quiet hours. Usually by 9-9:30 parties settle down. Big holidays may be exception.
