Just a 15 minute walk away, or a quick number 10 bus ride, is the best fish and chips in town. You can eat in the restaurant or outside by the water. they also serve beer and wine but it's more a restaurant than a bar.

Great for kids! The Meadows is a large open grassy park with the best playground in Edinburgh. The playground has a few different areas and is suitable for toddlers to age 10. There are climbing structures, sandboxes, and swings of all sizes. The entrance to the play area is on the east side of the park - the easiest way to get there is from South Clerk Street.

Great for kids! The Meadows is a large open grassy park with the best playground in Edinburgh. The playground has a few different areas and is suitable for toddlers to age 10. There are climbing structures, sandboxes, and swings of all sizes. The entrance to the play area is on the east side of the park - the easiest way to get there is from South Clerk Street.
Only 5 minutes from the flat. Ocean Terminal has a number of indoor entertainments, restaurants, and shopping options that are perfect for a rainy day. For younger kids, there is a soft play area on the top floor. For older kids (and grown-ups) there's a roller rink and skate/scooter park. Fun for all is the cinema with over 10 screens, all with reclining seats! You'll also find clothing shops, a health food store, supermarket, a pharmacy, and lots of food and coffee places.
