The Euphrasian Basilica (Croatian: Eufrazijeva bazilika, Italian: Basilica Eufrasiana) or the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of Mary is a basilica in Poreč, Croatia. The episcopal complex, including, apart the basilica itself, a sacristy, a baptistery and the bell tower of the nearby archbishop's palace, is an excellent example of early Byzantine architecture in the Mediterranean region. The Euphrasian basilica has for the most part retained its original shape, but accidents, fires and earthquakes have altered a few details. Since it is the third church to be built on the same site, it conceals previous buildings, for example the great floor mosaic of the previous basilica from the 5th century. Because of its exceptional value, it has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997. The Basilica is also the Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Poreč-Pula.

In the Palud Cove, located 8 kilometers southwest of Rovinj, there is the first, and so far, the only "special ornithological reserve" in Istria. Ornithologists have recorded here more than 200 bird species.

Mramornica was mentioned as early as 1770 when the famous travel writer Alberto Fortis visited and described this cave. Close to Brtonigla-Verteneglio, by Stancija Drušković, after the nearly vertical steps, stands the entrance to one of the largest underground halls in Istria. The cave is rich in different coloured dripstones, stalagmites that are as much as 13 meters tall making Mramornica particularly fascinating and attractive. From the well-kept paths of the cave there is a view of the inaccessible parts, which because of this secretiveness are even more alluring. Because of its uniqueness the cave was declared a monument of nature and it has been opened for visitors since 1995. An interesting detail of this adventureous trip is also the encounter with the underground world of animals: visitors will see the cave olm (Proteus anguinus), endeme of the Dinaric karst area. Besides visiting the cave, visitors can enjoy various additional facilities, such as a training ground for speleo climbing, geomorphological pillar, events and much more!
