Eating there is a special experience. Walking into the Yellow Deli, we were immediately welcomed with smiles and accommodations. The vibes of the restaurant itself are great. Feels like Woodstock, but only 5 minutes from our durham house. It’s decorated to be cozy, calming, and whimsical. The menu is small, but there is something for everyone. Everything that we ate was delicious.
Please note that on Saturday’s they are closed for Shabbat, but they are open mon thru Thursday at 10 am. If you get there at 9:45 am you are likely to be the first or second in line waiting outside the door. If you arrive at 10:05 am you are likely to expect a 30 minute wait. They open Sunday’s at noon; Their busiest days so get there at 11:50 am and wait outside or else the parking lot fills up by 12:05 and of course another 30 minute wait to be seated.
We ordered the Egg and Cheese sandwich, the Deli Waffle, and the Reuben sandwich with a side of chips. There was a little bit of a wait for the food to come to us, but all our meals came out hot and ready to eat.
They offer a whole array of eclectic tea and desserts. The carrot cake was was not only served to me with a smile, but it was the biggest slice of cake I’ve seen in a long time. The cake was super soft, tasted great, and had the perfect amount of frosting on it. I’m not a big carrot cake person and felt awkward receiving it, but I ended up enjoying it.
The Yellow Deli is a a great place to eat. Kick back, relax, and enjoy the time you spend there. The staff is friendly, everything is clean, and the food is worth the wait.

Amazingly fun ambiance, and great food. Always a band, always a bonfire, outdoor dining and indoor. Such a big place never a long wait, service is not great but it makes up for it in food.

A French country bistro right in the heart of downtown Windham. We sat on the lovely terrace and enjoyed the fresh air and incredible food. Very delicious take-out (only) chinese restaurant in Windham. Best Chinese Food around! This place has a very loyal following. They pride themselves on always getting your order right.

There are two locations: one in Windham and one in Tannersville. Both worth the trip. Great breakfast menu ! Use lots of locally-produced ingredients, fresh and wonderful food, miniature goats. Plus there's fudge! The adorable shop has a Cracker Barrel Vibe, with games, toys, baked goods, candy and knick knacks of all kinds.

Catskill Mountain Country Store - Windham

Use lots of locally-produced ingredients, fresh and wonderful food, miniature goats. Plus there's fudge! The adorable shop has a Cracker Barrel Vibe, with games, toys, baked goods, candy and knick knacks of all kinds.
German/Swiss food. They offer different types of fondue too. We've only had the fondue specialties, but would definitely go back for it again! The apple strudel is delicious too.

Vesuvio in Hensonville is another delicious Italian and this one takes reservations! The meatballs are supposedly incredible!

Way more than just a gas station market. This eat-in or take-out market has brick oven pizza, deli sandwiches, pastries and ice cream,. Super clean, plus you can pick up lots of other supplies while you're there.

Used to be Charlie's but now it's Gigi's! Delicious Ice Cream with picnic tables outside. Wonderful and friendly staff. Worth the trip!

Extensive wine list. The owner is so sweet and gives great recommendations. Warm and cozy atmosphere, the fire pit area is very warm under the tent and each couch has multiple folded fuzzy blankets ready to use for additional comfort.
The prices are very fair. Cordelia and her team bring service and hospitality to the next level. Friendly to new and experienced to wine and wine tasting. There’s also craft beer and ciders available for those who don’t fancy wine.
Overall a great experience- would recommend coming here to anyone!

The chef, San Diego, is a highly trained chef who, I think, can beat out any five-star restaurant in New York City, but with the atmosphere of a local tavern. Everything on the menu is great. Some of the highlights are the French onion soup, the char grilled teriyaki salmon with wasabi and the roasted, garlic potatoes puree.

Amazing country store and garden nursery. It’s your quintessential Windham authentic country experience done with a touch of class and tons of pride of ownership.
One of our favorite lazy afternoon activities is the lobster bake from May 25 to September 2, mini golf, Windham theater, and arcade, all in one fun location on Main Street and Windham NY. The lobster bake is hiding behind the building outside, facing the river.
