When it's hot, I would recommend this place. During weekends gets crowded, but you can take a shorter walk (20 min) and you will be in paradise. Shady, serene and quite. 30" by car from centre.

In the past people used to bath there. They are trying to bring back that custom, but not so determinedly, unfortunately. Don't bath there although it is a pefect place to do that. Nice and cool.

If Lake Bled is a slightly over touristic, you can say that Lake Bohinj is just perfect match. 1 hour and smtg. Worth of any kilometre. :)

Lake Bled is a 5 star attraction. Definitely a slovenian pearl. Might get crowded and too touristic. Lake Bohinj is far much better choice.
