If the weather is good, we recommend at self boat ride in the canals of Amsterdam. and Mokum boat is quite popular for boat rentals. call them and you might get a boat less than 2 km from our place. best time would be to do in the evening and see Amsterdam center under canal lights.

how to commute..
the cheap and best way to commute in Amsterdam is using the public transport. The bus/ tram station (Amsterdam, Hugo de Vrieslaan) is just 200 meter away from the house. You can reach Amsterdam central station/ Dam square (in approx 20 mins) by using tram 19 and then taking a metro from Weeserplein.. don't forget to buy a daily pass or an OV chip card if your decide to use public transport daily
