Great biking/walking trail that follows along Wood Lake. You can also bike to Vernon along Kalamalka Lake. It’s flat and plenty wide. Halfway around Wood Lake there is an outdoor cafe with great burgers etc.

If you fancy a drive to Vernon check out this park. Lovely venue for a swim in Kalamalka Lake or check out the hiking trails.

Bring a good pair of runners or hiking boots and a pack for your water and a snack. This is a local treasure. A medium hike will get you to the top where the views are breathtaking. You can see Okanagan, Woods, and Ellison (or as the locals call it “Duck”) Lakes. A must do for sure if you like hiking. It takes maybe an hour and a bit to reach the top......depending on how many breaks you take to soak in the views. A close 10 minute drive from us.

Spion Kop Summit
Bring a good pair of runners or hiking boots and a pack for your water and a snack. This is a local treasure. A medium hike will get you to the top where the views are breathtaking. You can see Okanagan, Woods, and Ellison (or as the locals call it “Duck”) Lakes. A must do for sure if you like hiking. It takes maybe an hour and a bit to reach the top......depending on how many breaks you take to soak in the views. A close 10 minute drive from us.
A great place to find out more about the attractions in our are. It’s located right across from the IGA grocery store on Main Street, a couple of minutes drive or about 15 min walk…..mostly uphill on the way back to Fat Quail.

A local favourite place to swim. About a 10 minute drive from us. You might want to pack some water shoes as there is a reason it is called Pebble Beach. We have beach towels here you can use. Let us know if you want to borrow a lawn chair.
