Great little Italian which is in walking distance of the house. They do 'Cheap Tuesday' but you must book as it is very popular that night. Otherwise you can generally walk in. Also serves great coffee & cake and a pretty decent breakfast too!

Great little market located within walking distance of central Freo. Lots of touristy things to buy as souvenirs, fruit & veg, great little food court which sometimes has live music on. It is also located right on the Freo docklands which is a great place to tick off on a tourists list!

Beautiful safe lagoon for beach lovers, only about 15-20 minutes north by car. There is a little cafe over the road from here too.

Nice park, lots of wild birds to see. Walking trail which takes you around Joondalup Lake which is nice to do when its not too hot. Public toilets available and great for a picnic or BBQ as they have them free to use on site. Normally the ice cream man is here during busy periods too which the kids love.

This excellent facility has lots of interesting natural history, aboriginal & settler displays. It also has regular additional activities for little people during the school holidays. Its free to get in but the additional activities may incur a charge. Well worth a visit!

This large art gallery is located within walking distance of the main train station and houses lots of art works from prominently Australian Artists and is free to visit. There are cafes located nearby and the Museum is located very close by too as is the central library. Well worth stopping by.
