We are not huge zoo fans, but the SF Zoo is worth it for the amazing playground and petting zoo alone. There is also a fun train ride and wonderful gorilla space. Close by and next to Ocean Beach.

1 mile away, about a 25 minute walk via Santa Ana Ave, is the West Portal neighborhood. Here you find MANY great restaurants as well as the MUNI West Portal transit hub. Parking can be difficult at times but there are usually spots available on the side streets.
