The tasting room at Maui Winery is actually the former guest cottage for King Kalakaua who brought his wife Kapi'olani to Rose Ranch in 1874. The royal couple enjoyed the ranch so much that the cottage was built specifically for them. The winery has been there since 1974 and boasts lovely wines known for their tropical flavors. Wine tours are scheduled at 10:30am and again at 1:30pm.

OK, so when you are looking for a great deal and a great view, head to Gannon's located at 100 Wailea Golf Club Drive. Don't let the fussy entrance scare you. Belly up to the Red Bar and make sure you can see outside for an amazing sunset while you eat some amazing appetizers at even more amazing prices. But you have to do all this during Happy Hour. Check the hours before you go, right now it is 3-8pm, but who knows?

It is an easy 0.6 loop with a more treacherous Spur Trail which includes a Steep switch back to some small lava caves. Loose and unstable footing. Not for the timid, definitely for the adventurous!
