Great walk along the river to Milldale but remember to take some cash if you’d like an ice cream or to buy a snack at the shop. They don’t take cards! It’s a 3 mile walk back to the car park!

Walk into the town from Chevin Loft. Have lunch at Nourish, visit Derwent Antiques - four floors of great treasures! See if you can spot the peregrine falcons nesting in the top of the East Mill. There are some quirky shops in the main street (King St) and Sweetings is a super shop full of furniture, lamps and gifts. Brunch at Fresh Basil is delicious.
