Living in the iconic prior home of Catfish Corner, Fats offers soul food, chicken & waffles and breakfast all day. If you get a chance, chat with the owner, she's a character. And come hungry! Pro tip: The breakfast sandwich contains pretty much everything else on the menu :-)

If you're taking the train to or from the airport, here's the closest station. If you need to get over to the University District, it's a 4 minute train ride from here.

The brand new street car stops here. Great way to get over to Pioneer Square and the International District. From our place you can walk down Marion, through Seattle U campus, and this station is right on the other side.

For a cheap cruise on Elliott Bay, take the ferry to Bainbridge Island and back - it will run you something like $6 per person for an hour and a half of sailing, and you get an iconic view of Seattle on the way. Take a coat, it gets cold on the water.

This is what qualifies for a beach scene in Seattle. On a warm weekend day it's pretty crowded, but the views are incredible and there is actually a sand beach to lounge on.
