Whitianga! a lovely place to hike around, cycle around and sightsee for the day! Fishing off the wharf as well. If you walk down later afternoon you will see the stingrays gliding around.

Lovely little cafe food at the general whangapoua store with coffee. Coromandel Town (20 mins), Matarangi (10 mins), Kouatunu Lukes Kitchen and coffee at the store (20 mins),
or Whitianga itself some (30 mins drive).
