For the mainstream movies, choose this cinema. There are usually less people (so less waiting) and the rooms are bigger than the Tauranga one. It's also a nicer drive to this one than to the Tauranga one... :-)

This is the go-to place for indie and edgy films. They do mainstream as well, but also host the festivals and have a great selection of films for every taste.

For a slightly different range from Pak n Save, head to countdown in Papamoa plaza. This is the closest Countdown to our house, but there is also a Countdown in Bayfair and in town, as well as plenty of New Worlds and other Pak n Save stores around town.
This one is also located in a mall with plenty of other shops and a food court for cheap dining.

Bayfair is a huge indoor mall with countless shops for everything except the kitchen sink. Diagonally opposite the roundabout there are also plenty of other shops for the rest. The food court is also a cheap place to dine with enough variety for every need.
