Great for a sunny daytime adventure. It is about a mile away or a $6 uber pool ride. Shops, quirky austin scene and margaritas. Nightlife is a little lacking and yet some of the best nighttime live music is here at the Continental Club, C-Boys and The Gallery.

Check out the 68 degree year round Barton Springs pool, visit Zilker Park, stroll around LadyBird Lake, eat tex mex at Chuys or a cheeseburger outside on the patio at Shady Grove.

Known for it's crazy bar scene, this place is about a $6 uber pool ride. Drinking and partying are mostly what it's known for but there are also a lot of great music venues. My favorite cheeseburger in the world is here at Casino El Camino.

For a more upscale bar scene, check out Rainey Street. I like the ethnic food trucks. It can get a little wild on the weekends but if you're looking to party it's perfect. During the week there are a lot of laid back live music options.

A more modern honky tonk called The White Horse is a favorite here. I also like stopping at the bars while I stroll. This is a more "hipster" vibe than the historic "dirty" sixth street. Via 313 pizza here is ridiculously good.

The best Japanese cuisine in the city. Pricey but worth it. If you want to try them for less, get there a little before 5 M-F for their happy hour.
