Hipster hang-out popular with art students at the nearby Art School - great for working (free wifi) and curling up with a book during the day time. You can stay for hours and they won't bother you. In the evenings, they often have live music, poetry readings, film screenings etc.

Borough Market is the place to go for amazing street food and really high quality produce! You can take the 343 from the bus stop on Southampton Way, opposite the Tesco, and the journey should take 20 minutes. Really worth it for delicious, fresh fruit & veg, awesome curries and burgers, delicious smoothies, and a unique atmosphere.

Parks & Nature
Great spot for running/jogging, sunbathing, picnicking, etc. There are open-air workout machines you can use; there's a playground for kids, a couple of cafes, tennis courts, a BMX track, a lake... It's a really nice spot to take a bottle of wine to with friends in the summer - it's very peaceful in the daytimes, but on weekend evenings it gets lively, and there are quite often parties and barbecues by the lake.

Frank's offers the best view of London you'll find (apart from maybe in the Shard...). It is only open in the summer, and is really popular so you might have to queue, but it's so worth it!
