Absolute must if you are here on a Saturday! Lots of tasters to try; buskers and delicious produce. I recommend the Turkish gozleme ; local coffee, bakery goods and cheeses. Pack a picnic and take it to the beach, or back to the apartment to nibble at for the rest of your stay.

A quick ferry ride across the bay takes you to this verdant artistic village. Wander up the 15 min track to get to the village, historic artist's residence and a cold beer or delicious Kapiti icecream.
