Murphys and Arnold are remarkable and very different than the rest of gold country. Gold arrived to the earth via stardust and comets; you do feel the energy of the stars in the air, the rolling hills, and up the mountain into the alpine trees, and the pristine waters. This land here on this ridge was not abused and gutted for gold, and some claim the true mother load is yet to be discovered!
Visit Old Timers Museum in Murphys; preceding the Murphy brothers, Murphys was a peaceful trading post for hundreds of years for the many Miwok Tribes of California. You will see amazing pine needle basketry and gold mining artifacts, plus much more.

The Quyle family has supplied clay to educational and art facilities since the 40's. The machinery is all in tact and still useful, very interesting tools and equipment. Plus, the lady of the manor sells many local artists pottery & ceramics. Also there is Brice Vineyards wine tasting room across the driveway!

This place has a fantastic variety of spices, sugars, rubs, jams, honeys, mustards, dry bean and pasta kits, etc. Really fun way to spice up your food life; it's very inspiring in there.

If you've never seen what the inside of the earth looks like, please visit the caverns. The earth is full of crystals and indescribable splendor. The rock shop is a great place for tutorials and also gifts!

Where else can you get the best cesar salad and a huge mocha? Not anywhere - this is the place to please every taste bud they have good food selection/variety plus super yummy coffee.
