Marine Drive is a free carpark in the winter, and runs the length of Woolacombe beach, with the Porthole cafe adjacent to middle beach (between Putsborough and woolacombe beaches). The cafe does great food with wonderful scenery. This part of the beach is also the quietest.

Tarka Trail
The tarka trail is great for family biking and you can rent bikes. With bike rental companies in Braunton and Fremington Key. We recommend cycling between Fremington Key and Instow, the Glorious Oyster cafe is set in the sand dunes and offers great seafood (It needs to be a dry summers day as outside seating only). Or in the winter the Johns of Instow deli offers delicious food too.

The tarka trail is great for family biking and you can rent bikes. With bike rental companies in Braunton and Fremington Key. We recommend cycling between Fremington Key and Instow, the Glorious Oyster cafe is set in the sand dunes and offers great seafood (It needs to be a dry summers day as outside seating only). Or in the winter the Johns of Instow deli offers delicious food too.
A great seafood place just off the Tarka Trail. Outdoor seating only so perfect if the weathers good.

Boxing Day has free entrance to the village with live music and a hog roast bbq on the quay. There are many events throughout the year, please see their website.
