The huge cave in this place called Las Grútas de Cacahuamilpa is spectacular. I have been to Carlsbad Caverns in White Sands New Mexico and this cave compares favorably with that experience.

Great temple - pyramid is located on top of a tall mount overlooking this pueblo. It is really breathtaking.

The site of former silver mining in Mexico is a great place to visit. It is 40 minutes from our place. Good food and many opportunities to purchase hand crafted silver items as well as other art and artisan wares.

Coatetelco no only has its own pyramid and accompanying museum, it is famous for fish raised locally and cooked to perfection over open flames at various restaurants located along the lakeshore.

Not only is there a great museum at the site that indicates the influences Azteca, Nahuatl, and Maya, but they have regular live presentations especially on occasions like the spring and Autumn Equinoxes, and the Winter and Summer Solstices. The site is most famous for the observatory.
