A quiet little neighborhood on a hill. Has an excellent view of the city and Lake Union. The Farmer's Market is here from July to October every year! It gets quiet during the night, so if you are a night owl looking to be active, try Capitol Hill instead.

Ballard has a lot of little shops and boutique. There's also a pub at the former public library there as well as the Ballard locks as the sights to see.

Breweries! If you enjoy breweries there's several of them located here. The most famous one being the Fremont Brewery. Hope you aren't allergic to dogs, because you'll find them everywhere!

Public transit is easy going north and south
Opt for the public transit if you are mainly going just up and down Seattle. Think about springing for a Lyft or Uber if you need to go east and west. Or if you want to drive yourself around, look for a Gig car! These Prius can come in handy for short trips around the city

Favor a jacket with a hood over an umbrella
Seattle may rain but it doesn't rain hard. Bring a water repellent jacket and you can flip up the hood whenever you need. Plus you'll look more like a local without the umbrella!
