San Miniato is one of the most ancient and fascinating churches in Firenze. It stands on the hill from where you can enjoy the most beautiful view on the river Arno valley and on the monuments of the city, just above the famous Piazzale Michelangelo.
The medieval architect is magnificent, with amazing romanic sculptures and frescos and the church also has a very suggestive crypt lighted by candles where the monks daily pray in latin singing gregorian chants.

Eating in this restaurant is pure pleasure. The food, especially the fish, is absolutely excellent and the recipes are really special: most of them come from the Sicily tradition (that’s where the chef and his family come from).
The place is very elegant and the staff is gorgeous.
It is one of the favourite places of “fiorentini” (people from Florence) for a tasty lunch or for an unforgettable dinner.

Carabè is a family-run gelateria beside the Accademia Museum that we love since more than 25 years.
Antonio and Loredana are from Sicily and they produce their gorgeous gelato following their tradition, strictly with the best fresh seasonal ingredients.
You can also find the amazing Granita Siciliana, ice cream in a soft hot brioche and the special ready-made Cannolo with fresh ricotta.
One more special ingredient: they always smile!
