This is a great place for breakfast, it's my GF's favorite and a unique KC place. They have an amazing flat bread breakfast pizza and they have great coffee as well. Vintage inside, and the sign is small so look for the red awning, and I can guarantee you wont be disappointed here!

This place is an amazing airy and beautiful restaurant that is worth the walk back up the hill after. It's 2 blocks away in the base of an apartment building. Its got a fantastic bakery, and a small menu but good food and coffee. A bit pricier, but it makes for a nice experience.

Cafe Europa Union Hill
2976 Gillham Rd This place is an amazing airy and beautiful restaurant that is worth the walk back up the hill after. It's 2 blocks away in the base of an apartment building. Its got a fantastic bakery, and a small menu but good food and coffee. A bit pricier, but it makes for a nice experience.
I have not had one guest go here and not rave about it, and when family stays from CA they go here daily. It's a great coffee shop, with some food as well. Also a wide selection of fresh squeezed juices should that be your thing. Local and good. A nice patio on those KC days where one should sit outside!

Filling Station Coffee - Midtown

Also a wide selection of fresh squeezed juices should that be your thing. Local and good. A nice patio on those KC days where one should sit outside!
This place is newer and so well decorated and lovely. If you like fixer upper stuff, and even if you don't, you'll love the inside of this place. Good coffee, impeccable food, this is becoming a household local favorite

KC is a BBQ town, and this is a great one to try. Up in KC Kansas it's maybe 7-10 minute drive but well worth it. I think their BBQ sauce is my favorite. They have a great outdoor patio, and all the less known great local food you could ask for.

Slap's BBQ
553 Central AveKC is a BBQ town, and this is a great one to try. Up in KC Kansas it's maybe 7-10 minute drive but well worth it. I think their BBQ sauce is my favorite. They have a great outdoor patio, and all the less known great local food you could ask for.
Ok so there is a great Coffee Food Truck that's been parking in the lot of the El Torreon and it's called Wild Way Coffee. Cute white trailer and all, they make delicious lattes and pour overs while you wait in the sunshine. It's a fun surprise when you see them, and always worth the stop!
