Fort DeSoto State Park has some of the nicest and (most of the time) secluded beaches. This park has miles of trails and is a great place to rent kayaks/paddleboards and spend the day on the water.

Clearwater Beach is about 30 mins North of us. It's such a fun (and crowded) beach. There are tons of hotels and restaurants on the beach. We recommend Frenchy's or Jimmy's Rooftop restaurant. Clearwater Beach is beautiful and a great place to people watch. Expect traffic going over the causeway on the weekends.
