This real medieval castle is well worth a visit or you take a tour. You can walk to the top for a great view of the city. Very easy to get to as its located in the centre of town. There are also great restaurants and bars in the castle environs.

Christchurch College and Cathedral is wonderfully historic. This is where Alice in Wonderland was written and you will discover how the setting inspired the story. Find the stained glass windows of a dodo - the author’s nickname. The dining hall inspired the Harry Potter setting at Hogwarts too!

A copy of the steeply arched bridge in Venice, this bridge was built in 1914 and joins the old and new buildings of Hertford College. You can find this at the end of Broad Street where it meets Castle Street.
