Whale watching is a very popular way to spend a day while visiting the area. Island Adventures maintains a daily whale report on their website. I highly recommend this one!

A MUST SEE! This city park has it all. I enjoy walking the 2.4 mile loop road that takes a mere 40 minutes and is the most beautiful place you in Anacortes. You can also drive the loop after 10am-dusk. Hiking trails, beaches, picnics and playground. This place has it all.

Nice park with beach access on Fidalgo Bay. Great spot to watch sunrises over the Cascade Mountains.

There is a new outdoor bar/lounge on the 5th floor of the annex building. A really nice view of Guemes Channel and the boat traffic going by. The hotel bar is classy and a nice place for happy hour.
