Villa Angiolina is situated in the heart of Opatija within the beautiful park. It is one of the finest tourist attractions in Opatija, the grand villa dates back to 1844. Built by a rich merchant Iginio Scarpa from the near-by town of Rijeka, it is one of the oldest buildings in Opatija and one of the most beautiful residential buildings too.
It is also a Museum Of Croatian Tourism Travel inside the Villa.

Considering the composition, the materials, the ornaments and communication, the gardens are a valuable example of Modernism with elements of historicism.
The American gardens were built in the 1st half of the 20th century, in honour of Hilda von Hortenau, originally from Opatija, by her husband, the Hungarian Mihaly Pal Kuczor. The gardens owe their name to the continent where Kuczor created his business empire by selling Szegedi paprika. The gardens have terrace like landform, with beautiful view on the Kvaerner bay. Since the gardener's house was built way before all other edifices, there is an obvious and much expressed sense and understanding of landscape architecture and horticulture.

Due to its extraordinary beauty and abundance of cave formations, this cave has been declared a nature monument.
Today, the cave of Lokvarka is one of the largest caves in Croatia that is open to the public. With a professional tourist guide, visitors can admire four galleries. The others have not been fully explored and represent a challenge for speleologists and other enthusiasts in search of new discoveries.

"Vrajži prolaz" and "Zeleni vir" - Skrad
The area of Zeleni vir was declared a nature reserve in 1962. The excursion area, which is located 302 metres above sea level, can be reached from several directions. Zeleni vir is a powerful spring at the bottom of a shallow, spacious cave. Above the entrance, a picturesque waterfall crashes down the vertical 70-metre-high cliffs, creating a glittering water curtain.
The second attraction in this area is the 800-metre-long canyon of Vrajži prolaz ("Devil's Passage"). Through this narrow gorge, which is approximately two metres wide, a mountain stream called Jasle flows among the hundred-metre-high rocks. The water has been flowing here for millennia, making its way through the stone, shaping this stunning landscape that leaves a strong impression on every visitor.
At the end of the gorge, there is another tourist attraction: a cave called Muževa hižica. This is open to visitors to a depth of 200 metres. A deeper tour requires proper equipment and good caving skills.
