This is the best playground around. It's in the Westerpark (where else??), there is an espresso bar close by (you pass it on your way), you can get your caffeine fix and then let your child loose in the closed off playground with swings, sand pit, trampoline, hills to climb on and tunnels to walk through. An assured succes!

Great Italian restaurant, right around the corner. Not your cheap pizza and pasta place, this Italian is a fancy one. I don't even think they serve pizza, but all things they do serve are delicious.

Not so surprising when you realise that Indonesia has been a Dutch colony for many years. Kantjil & De Tijger offers amazing Indonesian food. Try a 'rijsttafel', which is a collection of tapas-sized dishes that consisted of a variety of Indonesian cuisines, from sate to nasi padang to kropoek and beyond.
