Eurimbula National Park can be accessed from Turkey Beach via 4WD track. (Check current road conditions first). Deepwater & Joseph Banks Conservation Park are to the south
Captain James Cook, with botanist Sir Joseph Banks, made his first landing in Queensland on this picturesque coastline. The park is botanically diverse and protects mangroves, coastal vine thickets and littoral rainforest.

The Marina Parklands is also home to several high-profile events including GPC’s Port to Park, the Gladstone Harbour Festival, Symphony Under the Stars and the Mayor’s Carols at the GPC Marina Main Stage
The spectacular Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race is held every Easter and finishes at the Marina.
