Awesome wood-fired pizza in the Neapolitan style. They have a sweet happy hour deal ($7 Margherita Pizza if ordered before 6pm) - lines form early for that one!

Still relatively new, Great Notion introduced Portland to the "hazy IPA" craze that originated in New England. Great Notion still does them the best! Also great fruit beers, sours, and breakfast stouts. They have an awesome back patio space too.

Excellent beers with a nonprofit model. Their "Perle Haggard" pilsner won gold at the 2020 GABF in the "Bohemian-Style Pilsner" category!

The original location of this exceptional Portland brewery is not too far from our house. Just about every beer they brew is a stand-out, including many classic NWIPAs, pilsners, barrel-aged stouts, sours, and experimental beers.
Breakside joins Fort George (Astoria, OR) and Pfriem (Hood River, OR) in making up my Oregon brewery "power trio."
