The best park in Tokyo, in my opinion. It has a large Japanese garden, a Chinese garden, a rose garden, a giant lawn and a fantastic greenhouse. Convenient to Shinjuku so lots of restaurants nearby

This is the Minami Shinjuku station on the Odakyu Railway. This is a local stop. If you'd like to travel further than Shimo Kitazawa (hip area), I'd recommend catching an express train from Shinjuku

One of Tokyo's biggest, best free parks. Lots of young people out when the weather is nice. You can drink here, unlike some other parks. Good place to spend a lazy day. Lots of festivals nearby

This is the closest station to the house. 2 diff't trains (JR Yamanote Line, Sobu Line) & 1 subway (Oedo Line) pass thru. Small station with a limited # of exits, but convenient to other stations

Another subway station that is within walking distance of the house. This subway can actually take you all the way to Yokohama, where you can visit Chinatown, etc.

This is more of a landmark/point of reference when you're out exploring the area. It's the Empire State Building-looking building that is on the other side of Yoyogi Station.

Food Scene
Cool little complex of restaurants, cafes & bars near the house. Interesting vegetation, neat, eco-friendly design. It's only a couple minutes away. I'd highly recommend paying a visit.

This is one of Tokyo's more international neighborhoods. It's generally considered a Korean neighborhood, but actually, there are lots of ethnic restaurants, Halal markets, etc.
