This food here is from Shaanxi, with unusual spices for Chinese cuisine – star anise, cumin, coriander, etc. The tiger salad and the spicy lamb dumpling soup are my favourites!

My favourite café in the city! I often go here for a coffee and to read a book, but it is equally nice for a drink in the evening. Very cozy with live jazz on Sunday nights.

This Nolita trattoria is pricier than some of the aforementioned, but the scallops will make you cry from sheer bliss, and the atmosphere is lovely. I also highly recommend the pâté.

A Swiss bar and restaurant, I go here to watch the cool kids and for the oh-so-European service. Fairy lights drape the ceiling, and the hanger steak is delicious. A hidden bar through the kitchen!
