Not exactly brunch but a light breakfast; Kettleman’s is Ottawa’s best bagel. A short walk to the Glebe will get you oven fresh bagels in more than a dozen flavours with your preference of topping (cream cheese, butter, salmon, etc.).

Excellent, authentic and cheap Mexican food! Located in the Byward market, the restaurant is in the basement and has nice decoration. You can pick up or eat there and go for lunch or supper.

Located in Vanier, this place has the best poutine in town! Classic, Greek or Mexican with various meats - you have a lot of poutine's options! Yes, it is not downtown, but if you have time to go, it's really worth it.

The restaurant is pretty small and you may have to reserve, or you can pick them up and walk back (5 minutes) to the apartment. The staff is very friendly and the sushi doesn’t disappoint, although there are for a midrange budget.
