This was the center of modern day Quintana Roo 500 years ago, and the agricultural hub. Today it boasts the tallest ruins in Mexico, and the largest grouping of ruins, and most are still uncovered. Great half day trip, 45 minutes from Tulum. Be ready for a lot of walking, or rent a bicycle at the entrance.
